There was a lot of fog here last week. And snow last month. Here in the heart of winter I want to paint the feeling of isolation that settles in our hearts and homes. I am not really blue. Winter, here in my world, is peaceful. There is beauty in the bareness of things.
This painting is called "Solitude" and is 9"x12" oil on panel.
Oh, so sweet! Since I don't grow veggies, I love rabbits/hares and of course I love your art, so this is a real delight to me.
ReplyDeleteVery cute. My little guy saw it and started saying, "Hop!, Hop!"
ReplyDeleteHi Jodi. I live in the city so I never think of rabbits as enemies of my garden. Thanks for reminding me that nature is complex and gardening is such a wonderful way to learn about that richness.
ReplyDeleteHi Gardeness, I painted this bunny since my own daughter was so sad about me selling a previous bunny painting. Kids love rabbits! I guess Beatrix Potter knew that too.
That bunny is way cute. I loved the fog last week, but can't say I miss it too much now that the sun is here in the mornings (for today, at least). Your daughter is lucky to be able to say "I'd like a bunny painting" and then such a wonderful one is created just for her! Hope to see you on Saturday.
ReplyDeletePS Jean - so great to meet you today. Just saw your "secret addiction" - I showed ICHC to my daughter once and she begs to check every day to see if there are any new "kittehs." Nutty!
ReplyDeleteOh no - I wrote my bunny comment on your previous post... never mid, both paitings are beautifully done! It was lovely to meet you "live" at the garden bloggers meeting!
ReplyDeleteI love to garden, and wish I could paint! your painting are beautiful.
