This early rhubarb is surreal. I am not satisfied that my painting has captured its sensuousnes fully so I may try another painting. Wow. What colours. What shapes and textures! Kind of creepy.

ReplyDeleteWhen I saw your images I thought to myself, "my rhubarb doesn't look as bizarre as hers." So I went right outside and of course it looked every bit as freaky as yours. What I love about the plant is the way the stems turn neon red when the sun is at a certain point in the sky.
