White Fur in the Garden

It was fun painting the white fur in the Polar Ice Cap painting. I'm glad I have some white fur in my garden too. This strange creature is a Lamb's Ears.

  1. This year I've let a few clumps get to the flowering stage. It's like something from outer space. But very fun to touch.

  2. It is such fun considering Pill Bug's point of view. I loved Polar Ice Cap :-) and now this, Lamb's ear...fantastic, never seen anything like it!

  3. I have this but hadn't thought to look at it from this perspective, or so close up. So fuzzy! Agree that it looks like one of your Ice Cap animals. We saw the sad little artic fox who lives at the zoo the other day, giving itself a bath and looking very lonely. My daughter and I wished we could break it out of its cage and take it to somewhere it would be with a little fur family of its own!

  4. Hi Curmudgeon. My lamb's ears are so buried under a cardoon that I didn't even notice they were flowering until - they were. I've got to move some plants. Things really start to fill out in June.

Priya I always get a kick out of hearing from you so far away. I know you love fur. (-:

Karen, you are a fellow worrier. Thank you for your comment on my painting and the one here. We were at the zoo this weekend and it is always an experience that makes me happy and sad both. At least the penguins looked happy in their wonderful new environment.

  5. You managed such a great photo of yours- I've only ended up with blurry fuzz each time I've tried. They are pretty amazing plants.
